Dinosaur eggs?

This is just a fun way to get my son to eat boiled eggs. He takes them in his lunch and all his friends think its very cool 🙂
Boil an egg or three. I do this by putting however many eggs you want in a pot, fill it with water until the eggs are just covered. Bring to a boil (not a huge rolling boil or they might crack), and boil for 2 minutes. Turn the burner off and let the eggs sit in the hot pot for 10 minutes. After 10 minutes, put the pot under cold water and keep them there until you can handle them.
Perfection every time 🙂
Ok… Back to dinosaur eggs. Once the eggs have cooled, crack them all over. Just crack them. Don’t peel them!

Then, dot food coloring every so often on the cracks. You can use one color, or multi color them. Whatever you like. Then set them on a towel to let the food coloring dry (I recommend a DARK colored towel). After about 5 minutes (once its dried) peel the eggs!

I put them in a little baggie and throw a salt packet in with it. He (and all his friends) loves them!
