So, this is a yummy treat we would normally have on the weekends, because for some reason we have sweet breakfasts on the weekend. I think it’s because daddy is home to help out with the kids while mommy spends time in the kitchen. Since we are participating in the 4th of July parade with my Moms on the Move workout class, I think mommy needs some sugar!
This is a very easy, throw together breakfast where most of the stuff is done the night before. Plus, it’s in bite-sized pieces, and it’s easy for baby fingers to pick up!
And yes, I went over $.86 on my budget, but we ate it for breakfast two days in a row!
In a 9″ x 13″ baking pan, cut up bread into 1 inch squares and throw in the bottom of the pan.
In a separate bowl, mix an 8 oz. bar of cream cheese at room temperature with four large eggs, adding them one at a time. Then add in 1.5 C of milk, 1/2 C of Half & Half (I use almond milk in its place, I don’t like all the sugar), 1/2 tsp vanilla, 1/4 C Sugar & 1/2 C of syrup.
Take the pan out of the fridge in the morning, and drizzle another 1/4-1/2 cup syrup over the top of the bread and cook it for 55 minutes at 350 degrees.
